Some days it's hard not to be frustrated by the comments we get about Noah. Most people I know of course mean well and others? Well I think if they just thought for a second before they open their mouth we might all be better off. So here we go with my rant for today ...
No it's not....
....great that I don't have to cook for my child. I would give anything to see him enjoy a normal meal like any other child his age. Imagine not sharing those first moments with your own child, no first taste of an Easter Egg, no first spaghetti ....no first...1000 other things!
...so much easier to feed my child through a tube! Imagine pinning down your baby as you push a tube up his nose and into his tummy, watching them gag, fight and scream every second of the way. Taking care not to push it into his lungs of course, now stick it down to his face and hope his doesn't pull it out again for the forth time that day. Then aspirate the tube to check it's in his tummy before setting up a drip set to feed him his formula.
...better because my nappy bag is not full of snacks for him. Instead it's full of sringes, tube feeding sets, tapes, wires, spare NG tube, gloves, hand santitizer, I could go on!
Sorry it's just been one of those days...feel better now! :-)
